i found this interview to be very interesting. i found that high school in japan and America are very similar. some of the similarities are we both don't like to study and we both did not like math. we both hung out with friends on the weekends. some of the differences are she like to go to karaoke with her friends. and her parents did not let her have a part time job and my parents forced me to have a job.

ReplyDeleteI think some parents want their kids to really focus on studying during high school so that they don't allow their kids to get a part-time job.
So did you like your part-time jobs?
ReplyDeleteI think it's interesting that your Japanese friend liked to do karaoke on the weekend, as I have heard a few people say that. I wonder, is karaoke very popular with Japanese high school students?
ReplyDeleteI actually forgot to ask in my interview why she didn't have a job, so it was really interesting to hear that for the most part, high school students aren't supposed to have part time jobs.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I think Karaoke is quite popular among high schcool students.
