there are parts that i like about japanese valentine day/white day and parts i dont like. the parts that i like you get two days to spend with your boy/girl friend. or if you really like someone it gives you a chance to tell them that you like them. i dont like that you have to give gifts to all your guy friends. although it would be nice to get gifts back from all of them.
i think that the japanese give too many gifts, but i dont think that americans give enough gifts. i think that some of the thankyou gifts can be very heartfelt and meaningful.
i would like to participate in valentines day if i was in japan, it would be a chance to learn more about the culture and i could strengthen my reltionships with my friends.

It's true most Americans give gifts manly on birthdays and holidays.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Girls think about how many chocolates need to be prepared. sometimes, they have to give very very far friends or someone who they just know the name.
ReplyDeleteI could see the obligation chocolates and gifts becoming a little overwhelming too but all in all I think its a better set up then American valentine's day.
